I received my teaching degree from The University of Toledo in December of 1979.
I taught 6th grade at St. Catherine’s from 1980-1988. Beginning in 1989 I taught 7th and 8th grade reading at Gesu for two years, and then moved to 5th grade for the next five years. When the 6th grade position opened up, I took that for my remaining 14 years of teaching at Gesu. I retired from the Diocese of Toledo in June of 2012.
This brings me to my new chapter in my education field, Kids Unlimited. After subbing at Kids Unlimited, I was offered a position as an aid and mentor. Needless to say, I am so excited to be a part of this growing family. This will be something new and I am ready for the challenge.
I have been married for 26 years to my wonderful husband Kevin who is a courier for Pro-Medica. We have three children: Adam (25) who is a supervisor at Hollywood Casino and engaged to a wonderful girl Kristi. They are to married in July of 2014. Our daughter, Meghan (21), recently finished her Medical Assistant Degree and is working at Franklin Park Peds, where she comes home with a different story to tell me every day. Our youngest, Nicholas (16), will be a junior at Central Catholic this fall. He is involved in soccer, lacrosse and the musical plays at Central. We also have a five year old beagle named Lofton, who is a bundle of joy.
